Those who are into fashion, social media, or Korean culture are surely aware of the seasonal color analysis test. Simply put, this is a well-known method in the fashion industry to determine what color palette best suits an individual according to the result of the color analysis test. And from the name itself, results are named based on the four seasons—spring, summer, fall, and winter.

On social media, some might have watched videos of tourists who traveled in South Korea or in the USA acquiring this service where a certified color analyst conducts a test. The good thing is, there are now several professional color analysts here in the Philippines, so there’s no need to spend that much to travel abroad just to have it done.

One of those certified color analysts is Ginny Villegas, the founder of Flair Image—an image consultancy company that offers image development services, including etiquette, interpersonal communication, and color analysis, among others. Ginny is a Certified Image Consultant by the Association of Image Consultants International (AICI) and a Certified Corporate Etiquette Consultant by the Protocol School of Palm Beach.

According to Ginny, knowing the right color palette for an individual gives a lot of advantages not just in fashion but also in self confidence. “It’s really worth it visiting a color consultant like me because we are trained for this craft and we have an eye for it. I’ve been doing it for years now,” she told MB Life. Villegas got her certification back in 2014. “Knowing your seasonal color will empower you. It will boost your confidence knowing that you’re wearing the right color that suits you.”

Seasonal color analysis starts with identifying one’s undertone, then followed by finding the right season color. But the tricky thing is, it is not as simple as getting from summer, winter, autumn, or fall, because some individuals also have their flow like warm or rich.

“Aside from the undertone which is the basis of whether you are cool or warm, we also have to look for the intensity—whether you look good with bright colors, soft, or muted,” she explained. “Then, they would know their color season or flow and have that analysis to facilitate choosing their clothes. We can provide an e-color swatch so that when you go shopping, you just have to match the color of the clothes you want to buy.”

Ginny also said that there’s no specific age when one should get this type of test and men will also benefit a lot from doing this. “Men are color blind. It will help them to have that guide that will help them in choosing the right outfit,” she said. “As soon as possible, you should have your seasonal color analysis done because you will not change your color season as you grow older.”

Villegas is open for one-on-one sessions. Each session could last up to an hour depending on the customer’s knowledge and inquiries. To set an appointment, send a message through their Facebook or Instagram page. Visit their website for more information.
