Bretman Rock

It is no secret that traveling to different places can take a toll to our skin. This is something social media star Bretman Rock attested to as he’s having a tight schedule while he’s here in the Philippines.

At the recent launch of Pili Ani’s flagship store at the Mitsukoshi Department Store at the Bonifacio Global City, Bretman Rock made an impromptu visit and revealed that some of the brand’s products are his secret sin keeping his skin glowing despite his busy schedule. Pili Ani is a local beauty company that is now making its name in the international beauty market.

During his visit, Bretman shared his love for the Deep Detox Volcanic Exfoliating Mask. “When I first saw this about two years ago, I seriously thought it was a Hawaiian brand,” he said. “I guess that’s because of the packaging which is shaped like a volcano. We have a lot of volcanoes in Hawaii.”

The Filipino social-media influencer is residing in Hawaii where he owns a mansion and lives with his family. He also shared that he is happy to see a Filipino brand that is available abroad.

These past weeks have been especially hectic for Bretman as he tours for the promotion of his book.“Being on the road for months on end, I meet lots of people. Sometimes, days can also be super packed and crazy,” he shared. “That sometimes gives me anxiety and so I love that I can keep essential oils in my purse or pocket.”

Pili Anis is a home to cult-fave essential oils that help in relieving headache, energizes, and setting mood for a good night sleep.

The non-stop travel to different time zones has also taken a toll on his skin. According to Bretman, sleep is the ultimate cure– to keep skin glowing and fight off jet lag. He also said  that a beauty pillow (which can be found on Amazon) had made all the difference for him.

“I also always travel with my Pili Ani’s Deep Detox Volcanic Exfoliating Mask,” he said. “But here’s a tip, apply your face mask two days before your flight.”

Air travel often leaves skin feeling dry and inflamed. Recirculated air inside planes also exposes skin to various skin stressors which can often lead to drying, dulling, and even breakouts. For Bretman, a boost in skin pampering just before a flight ensures that he is camera ready as soon as he lands.

“I was so pleased to find out that Pili Ani is a global Filipino beauty brand,” he said. “Finally, we have something in the global beauty space that represents us. Oftentimes we hear about Japanese and Korean beauty trends and products. It’s about time that we celebrate Filipino beauty.”
