Most of the time, we can associate celebrities with luxury and high-end brands, but surprisingly this is different for Lazada ambassadors and two of today’s most-sought after celebrities Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards.
In an interview last March 2, 2023 during the #LazadaPH11Birthday event, Bea and Alden revealed that they love buying local products on Lazada and have encouraged everyone to support local.
Without disclosing the brands, Bea told MB Life that she enjoys buying travel essentials and even local fashion items on the said shopping platform.
“I like buying slippers, coords. I’m drawn to travel pouches,” Bea said. “Yes there are many international brands but local brands are way cheaper. I also like camping items since I’m into camping now with Dom [her boyfriend]. In my cart I also have local makeup products.”
Meanwhile, Alden is now preparing for his summer getaway by purchasing summer-must haves on Lazada.
“Ngayon malapit na yung summer, nagpa-plano na rin kami ng family ko for beach trips, so yung mga summer clothes and swim wears. Yan maraming local options nyan sa Lazada that you can buy that are affordable.”
He then encouraged everyone to buy and support local brands and products.
“It’s about time to push for small business and start-up entrepreneurs para hindi sila mawalan ng gana. So we are really all for supporting the local brands,” he said. “B and I are really proud to be ambassadors for a brand that supports local and is promoting the quality of Filipino craftsmanship.”
