(AFP/MANILA BULLETIN)

The long wait is over!

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has announced that theaters and cinemas will resume their operations as the National Capital Region (NRC) will be placed under alert level 3, this Oct. 16.

But here’s the catch, on its re-opening, cinemas will be operating at strictly 30 percent capacity, and will only allow fully vaccinated individuals.

It means that moviegoers will be seated apart from others. In case you’ll be watching with your special someone, being clingy is out of the picture already.

On top of it, no matter how long the movie is, no one is allowed to eat inside the theaters.

“Kapag nagbukas po tayo dapat one seat apart (moviegoers) muna, tapos the whole time na nanunood ng sine naka-mask ‘yung mga nanunood. Tapos wala munang kakain (When we resume operation, we should sit one seat apart for now. And then movie patrons will have to wear face masks while watching the movies. Eating will not be allowed),’’ says Cinema Exhibitor Association of the Philippines, president Charmaine Bauzon.

Enjoy watching!
