Is this event, more than 140 European higher education institutions offering MA and PhDs are participating to offer Filipino students opportunities to study in any of this year’s participating EU member states, namely, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Finland, and Sweden.
According to Luc Veron, EU ambassador to the Philippines, the COVID-19 pandemic couldn’t stop education institutions in Europe from conducting face to face classes, and not delve on online/off campus education.
“The higher education institutions in Europe are open to face to face education. I think this is an important message,” the ambassador told the members of the press during the EHEF launch on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021.
And in case you’re wondering if it is possible to get a scholarship from these universities, ambassador Luc says that currently, there are 65 Filipino students who are under the Erasmus program in the European Union.
“The Filipinos have always been extremely successful in applying for and being selected for the Erasmus programs,” he says. “We have several hundred so far and the Philippines is always in the top 10 for successful applications.”
