Sustainable bag brand Parkland Philippines and conservation organization World Wide Fund for Nature-Philippines (WWF) is coming together this holiday season to help push for a “sustainable new normal.”
You, too, can be part of this partnership.
How, you ask? Simply purchase a bag from Parkland, which produces its bags using 100% recycled and PETA-approved vegan materials, and they will donate 5% of the sales made until January 11, 2021 to WWF-Philippines.
WWF-Philippines will use the amount raised in projects that help fight “the harsh effects of climate change,” stress “the need to veer towards a more sustainable way of living,” and promote its message, “The new normal can—and must be—a green one.”
“With this partnership, the brand hopes to inspire consumers to make sustainable choices,” the bag brand says in a press release.
To date, Parkland has repurposed 3.5 million plastic water bottles for the exteriors of its bags. It also uses 100% recycle polyester for its woven labels, and 100% apple by-product for its leather diamonds.
Parkland Philippines bags are available for purchase at participating physical stores including Bratpack, The Travel Club, Grind, ROX, SM Department stores, as well as e-commerce platforms Lazada, Zalora, bratpackstore.com.ph, thetravelclub.ph, and grind.com.ph.
Lazada purchases this December will also come with a limited edition Parkland x WWF pins as a gesture of appreciation to supporters of sustainable brands.
