Editor’s Note: The original version of this article implied that Lloyd Cadena became an official honoree at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Correction has been applied and context has been provided below.
In a grand gesture to honor Youtube content creator Lloyd Cafe Cadena, a fan placed his name on a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Rica Mae Tianson Domingo shared photos of the star dedicated to Cadena in a Facebook post, saying that it’s her “tribute to one of my mental health saviors.”
“Lloyd has played a very big part in helping me cope up with my daily struggles. His loudness, being genuine, and his humanitarian acts inspired me to watch his vlogs whenever he uploads a new one,” she wrote in the caption. “Together with his LC Creations Team, the Bnt production, Madam Ely, Madam Aivan, and his mom Mother kween page, Erika Embang, their vlogs keep me moving forward as watching videos is one of my ways to heal.”
US-based Domingo, who has been eager to meet Cadena in person whenever she’s back in the Philippines, said she travelled all the way to Hollywood in Los Angeles, California “because Lloyd deserves a star in the walk of fame as he has helped [me] a lot, virtually and physically.”
For context, tourists can place a name temporarily on a blank star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The famous walkway recognizes talents in film, TV, radio, recording and theatre/live performance.
“Wherever you are right now, I hope that you still continue to push for your dreams and guide those who look up to you, your love ones, and the rest of your family,” she added. “Rest well and I salute you for everything that you have done. Thank you very much Lloyd Cafe Cadena.”
The said tribute came just a few days after the 26-year-old video content creator’s untimely passing.
