Two weeks before its premiere, Netflix has dropped the final trailer of “Stranger Things” season 3, Friday, June 21 (Manila Time).
And based from this three-minute long video clip, the new season will be darker and full of action. All the members of the gang are back, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Max (Sadie Sink), Will (Noah Schnapp), and Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) to fight harder against the monsters from the Upside Down.
“No matter what happens, we have to stop him together,” Mike says in the trailer.
This season is set on summer days of year 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana. “School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear,” Netflix said.
To date, “Strangers Things” has been nominated for 10 Emmys and bagged six Creative Arts Emmys. It also received four nominations in the Golden Globe.
“Stranger Things” season 3 will premiere on July 4.
