“Idol Philippines” judge James Reid finally shared his sentiments over the issue of elimination of the reggae singer who auditioned on the said singing competition.

On his Twitter account, Reid aired his side saying that a particular person has no idea on the burden the show’s judges have to carry.

“You have no idea how hard it is to crush people’s dreams right in front of them. That’s the burden we carry as judges to try and give one special person a chance of a lifetime. Just wait. The auditions isn’t even the hardest part,” he wrote.

Although he didn’t drop the name of the person he’s referring to, it can be recalled that earlier this week “Buwan” singer JK Labajo expressed his disappointment when reggae singer Luke Baylon didn’t make it to the next round of the competition.

On a separate post, Reid commended Baylon’s talent, but stood firm on his decision. “Like I said, Luke Baylon is a good singer but we’re looking for the total package. Wait till you see the 12 finalists. You’ll see why I said he wasn’t ready. For now, I wish Luke all the success is his music career.”

He even said that Baylon’s audition piece is sick. “That rendition of If I Ain’t Got You was sick,” he ended.

During Baylon’s audition, only Regine Velasquez was in favor of him while the rest of the judges namely Vice Ganda, Moira Dela Torre, and Reid voted no.
