Fried chicken-loving Filipinos can now try the world-famous offerings from Popeyes as its very first branch in the Philippines, located at Arcovia City, Pasig, officially opens to the public today, May 16.

Popeyes Philippines launches their first branch in the country with a feast of food they are known for, including Chicken Tenders and Biscuits.

The launch finally brings to hungry customers Cajun-inspired flavors from Louisiana, USA via its fried chicken and fries. The original biscuits are also available for everyone to try.

The Arcovia City branch debuts the new look of Popeyes’ stores.

Local food exclusives

The pilot branch is the home of many firsts for the American joint. Not only is it debuting Popeyes’ new, vibrant look, it is also the first to introduce “new menu items that will eventually be rolled out in other restaurants around the world.”

Below are the new food finds in Popeyes, exclusive to the menu here in the Philippines.

New Biscuit Flavors
The White Chocolate (leftmost) and Hazelnut (center) flavors join the original Honey variant of Biscuits.

Apart from its signature honey biscuits, the local menu will also feature two new flavors–hazelnut and white chocolate. At PhP 55 a piece, both can be paired with Popeyes’ world-famous fried chicken or can be eaten after the meal as a dessert.

Popeyes Spaghetti
Popeyes takes on the sweet and meaty Filipino spaghetti.

Spaghetti is not truly local if it’s not sweet and meaty, so the joint is also offering their take on the Filipino favorite aptly called Popeyes Spaghetti.
