The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) partners with the non-profit organisation that brings the hit educational television series Sesame Street, to launch their children safety program, Monday, Match 18.

According to the report of the government’s own media company People’s Television (PTV), this collaboration marks the 50th anniversary of Sesame Street.

“Signing of memorandum of agreement between MMDA and Sesame workshop. This is in line with Sesame street’s 50th anniversary.”

This partnership aims to educate children about public safety and environmental care. “They chose to partner with MMDA to help educate kids in a fun manner about the responsibility and functions of the agency when it comes to public safety, road safety, waste management, and environmental care,” the report said.

We bet even adults are excited to see Elmo and the rest of the gang in the streets of Manila soon!
