After the millennial pink hype in 2017, there’s a new trendy color that will brighten up your year, the Gen Z Yellow.
Gen Z Yellow covers everything from bright sunny shade up to deep mustard yellow. You might have seen this first on Beyonce’s music video for the song “Hold Up,” where she wears a yellow ruffled dress or at New York Fashion Week SS18 held last September 2017.
According to Erika Woelfel, color expert for Behr Paint, the Gen Z Yellow “represents vitality and ambition, traits we’re seeing in this upcoming generation of tastemakers.” Just like the Ultra Violet, it also gives “strong sense of energy and positivity to your spaces.”
This color will also complement any skin tone and pairs really well with Pantone’s Color of the Year.
