Calling all future mechanical engineers!
This year’s 9th PSME Students’ National Conference will be held on Oct. 16, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay. With the theme Elevating the Capabilities of Mechanical Engineering Student towards a Sustainable and Progressive
Philippines, the conference aims to enlighten students about the possible applications of mechanical engineering while promoting the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
For only P700 registration fee, this event will hold exhibits, activities, and talks by mechanical engineers from different fields.
Plenary talks will feature well-known engineers and professionals. There, topics will range from plastic conversion and renewable energy, to the modernization of the country’s infrastructure.
Seminars will also be mounted so mechanical engineering students will be informed on the current events and innovations in the industry. Afterwards, a quiz bee will be held, with students from different schools participating. They will go head-to-head on the topics covering fundamentals subjects like algebra up to thermodynamics.
Simultaneous with the quiz bee will be a machine design contest wherein the contenders’ analytical thinking to create a model that can transplant an artificial tree from one site to another will be put to test.
To cap it all off, participants may look forward to a fellowship night that will give them an opportunity to mingle with other students from different schools.
