“John Wick” actor Keanu Reeves left American television host Stephen Colbert speechless with his profound answer when asked about what happens when we die.
On the Friday night episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” the “Matrix” actor shared details about his upcoming projects when the subject about death came up.
According to 54-year-old actor, he’s working on the third instalment of “Bill and Ted” movie series. “They were supposed to write the song that was supposed to unite the world and bring peace and everything, but they haven’t,” Reeves said.
Colbert then asked the actor what happened if the characters weren’t able to write the song. “Well it’s the end of the universe, it’s the end of the time and space continuum. It’s all over,” the “Speed” actor answered.
The late show host then raised a follow-up question about death. “What do you think happens when we die, Keanu Reeves?”
The box-office hit actor’s profound answer took Colbert by surprise, leaving him speechless. “I know that the ones who loves us will miss us,” the “John Wick” star said.
Reeves is no stranger on loosing his love ones because of tragedy. According to People, in 1993, the actor’s best friend, River Phoenix died because of drug overdose. In 2001, his girlfriend Jennifer Syme died in a car crash. Reeves and Syme had a stillborn baby daughter in 1999.
“John Wick: Chapter 3— Parabellum” will hit the cinemas on May 17.
