Has it been eight years since the very first Dr. Martens store opened in Bonifacio Global City? It moved from a satellite shop into its current location in Two Parkade last 2013, and it was about time they give its flagship store a fresh look.

Aside from its newly renovated interiors, it also has a wide selection of offerings that range from footwear, bags, accessories, and shirts. One wall in the store that you wouldn’t and shouldn’t miss is their Original Icons Wall set-up, which features Dr. Marten’s signature styles that includes the 8-eye and 3-eye boots, their brogues, 2976 Chelsea boot which is patented by Queen Victoria’s shoemaker J. Sparkes Hall, and the Adrian Tassel Loafer that was released in the ’80s.

We all know that musicians favored the classic DMs. So, for that special launch night, The Itchyworms were their special guests who played their hits.  “Penge Naman Ako N’yan” , “Akin Ka Na Lang” and “Di Na Muli” were just some of the many songs that got the crowd singing and banging their heads.

Another set of special guests joined the musicians on stage right after their set. Actor/model and Pinoy Big Brother 737 second big winner Tommy Esguerra wore the iconic pair of 1460 Classic Boots in Black Smooth. Model and certified fitness instructor Sam Ajdani was seen in the 1460 boot in Gaucho Crazy Horse. International model Jessica Yang chose a pretty floral pair in 1460 Pascal Wanderlust boots. Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 finalist Jennica Sanchez showed how women can look spunky and cool in her Mallow Pink 1460 Pascal Iced Metallic Boot. Another model joined them on stage with Asia’s Next Top Model Season 3 finalist Monika Sta. Maria rocking in Hurston platform Chelsea boots in Cherry Red Arcadia.

Marketing Manager Edward Kabiling adds, “Made for the free spirit, a pair of Docs gives its owner a whole new sense of confidence. This makes every pair unique and worn different.”
