Working at home is practical, but let’s be real, our homes are full of distractions. There’s the television and of course, your bed that will stop you from being productive. Luckily, co-working spaces like Common Ground are there to provide freelancers, startup businesses, and even entrepreneurs a cozy space for a reasonable price.
Common Ground was first launched in Kuala Lumpur in 2017. Since then, the co-working space operator has been helping a lot of young companies and have opened up thirteen other locations around Southeast Asia, including two in the Philippines. The first branch is located in Arthaland Century Pacific Tower, BGC, and the second one that will be launched this February is in the IBP Tower, Ortigas Center.
“Common Ground is not just an open space with desks and internet connections,” says Lucia Gutierrez, Expansion Manager of Common Ground. “We are all about connecting people with each other and growing a community. Our members come from a variety of industries and backgrounds, so by connecting them with each other, we set the scene for collaborations, partnerships, and business opportunities.”
Common Ground in IBP Tower has a lot of workspaces that can cater freelancers and business owners. You can avail their hot desk (starts at P10,000/month) if you want to enjoy flexibility and work in the common area. But if you want a dedicated desk for yourself, they also have fixed desk (starts at P16,000/month) for you.
Groups, on the other hand, may avail private offices (starts at P19,500/month) that can accommodate four to as much as twelve people in a room.
You also have an option to book multiple rooms, and customize your own space. Common Ground also has its own pantry and a space called “The Grounds” where you can hold events and parties.
Aside from the space, members are also entitled to free Internet connection, refreshments and cleaning services, on-duty staff, and participation in weekly events organized by the Common Ground team. You will also get exclusive discounts and freebies from partner establishments, such as Shangri-La Fort, Edsa Shangri-La, Anytime Fitness, and many more. If you need to work while on vacation, you’ll also get access to any Common Ground location in the world.
Their Ortigas branch is currently offering an early bird rate, which ranges from P7,000 to P16,000 per seat.
Common Ground Philippines is located at Arthaland Century Pacific Tower in BGC, and at the IBP Tower, Ortigas Center in Pasig. They will also open another branch in Rockwell, Makati this year.
