The much-anticipated sequel to June Robles Lana’s Die Beautiful called Born Beautiful is coming to theaters on January 23. While everyone is excited to see the R-18 movie in cinemas, an uncensored version of the film is set to be screened on January 18, 7 PM at the UP Cine Adarna.
In an Instagram post by Martin del Rosario, the movie’s lead star who plays the role of Barbs, he wrote that the uncut version is for one screening only. This means that seats are limited, too. The UP Cine Adarna is known to have a seating capacity of only 800.
How can you secure a seat, you ask? Simply comment on the social media announcement or shoot an email to the Born Beautiful team at BornBeautifulJan18@gmail.com. As of writing, no further details on the selection process are out yet. Del Rosario, however, reminded fans to “keep checking the Die Beautiful Facebook page for details.”
Born Beautiful, which almost got an X-rating from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), tells the story of Barbs who is a transgender woman. Its first movie, Die Beautiful, was an entry to the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
