Brows can make or break our overall look. I mean, who doesn’t want to achieve a kilay on fleek like Cara Delevigne, right? Getting your eyebrows done can make a huge difference to your eyes and your face. There’s a lot of procedures that we can try, but let’s be real, getting your eyebrows waxed for the first time can be nerve-wracking. If you’re planning to book an appointment to a brow artist this month, here are some of the things you need to know:
1. Do your research
Before going to the waxing salon, make sure that you already have an idea about the eyebrow shape. But if you don’t know what style is the best for you, the brow specialists can teach you about the best brow shape for your face.
2. Make sure you have enough brow hairs
The best way to know if it’s already time for waxing is by looking at its length. The minimum length of your brow hair should be between 1/8 and 1/4 of an inch to wax properly.
3. Skip the eye makeup
Don’t wear eyeshadow or any brow products before going to the waxing salon. Make sure you have a clean face so that the brow artist can easily see where it needs cleaning and shaping.
4. It can be painful
We’re pretty sure that you’re kinda nervous before going to your brow appointment. Be aware that you might feel a little uncomfortable at first. If it hurt too much, let the eyebrow specialist know as soon as possible.
5. You’ll see redness for a few hours
The pain will be gone immediately, but the redness might stay for a few hours. If it’s bothering you, just cover it with concealer or foundation.
