BlackPink is coming to our area.

Just over two years after their debut and not even 10 smash originals out, K-pop girl group BlackPink is stopping by Manila for a one-night concert next year. The YG Entertainment-managed act is the hitmaker behind the songs “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du,” “Boombayah,” as well as “Kiss and Make Up,” their collaboration with singer-songwriter Dua Lipa.

The announcement was made through the group and their label’s social media accounts.

Here’s what we know so far about the Korean super girl group’s upcoming Manila concert.

February 2, 2019 is D-Day

The day of concert is right at the beginning of February next year, just three months away from now. Manila will be the fourth stop of the group’s first ever world tour called In Your Area, following Bangkok, Jakarta, and Hong Kong.

Venue is the Mall of Asia Arena

Blackpink in your area means Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, where labelmates Winner and IKON are also performing this coming November 10 and 11. The venue has a total seating capacity of 20,000, which means plenty of chances for Filipino Blinks to see and hear the quartet live.

Ticket selling details to be announced

While rumored ticket prices and packages-ranging from P1,500 to P15,000-are circulating online, YG Entertainment has yet to release official details. It’s possible, however, that it will be sold through SM Tickets as the venue is at the Mall of Asia Arena. As for official merchandise such as posters and light sticks, no confirmation or denial has been released as of writing time.
