Bes, alam naman natin na ‘pag Pinoy, chances are, nakapag-videoke ka na at least once in your life. And, most likely, you enjoyed it. We Pinoys have rarely come across a microphone that we can resist.
The Singapore Tourism Board is banking on this when it set up SINGapore at the Alabang Town Center. This is starts off the second wave of their Passion Made Possible campaign, making a case for the country as a hub for “Socialisers.” That’s what they call people who love music, concerts, and other performances, bes. It’s not a new age way to mean social climbers. (Hopefully, hindi ka natamaan, mumsh.)
Basically, if you get up and sing at their stage, and score at least a 90, you get a chance to win their grand prize. Bes, alam naman natin ang kalakaran sa videoke. It’s not about being on key. It’s about being loud and getting the rhythm right. The artists you can pick from have played, or are playing in SG soon, which include Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, Celine Dion, and Lady Gaga.
Anyway, so what are up for grabs? Round trip flights to the Lion City, accommodation to a four star hotel, and, as a bonus, tickets to the 2019 Formula One Singapore Grand Prix.
The SINGapore karaoke booth will be at Cortes De Las Palmas in Alabang Town Center until Sunday. For more information, go to visitsingapore.com
