Having a glowy and younger-looking skin is hard to achieve. And if there’s a personality that we want to be our #skingoals, that would be Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. I mean, bes, her skin is radiant and blemish-free. Nasaan po ang pores mo, ategurl?
Luckily, during the Ultherapy #BeYOUtiful media event, we got the chance to talk to the one and only Queen P. Here are some of her tips on how to achieve a youthful skin:
Don’t forget to remove your makeup.
We’re pretty sure that you’re also curious about Queen P’s skincare routine. Just look at her face, sobrang fresh! The beauty queen follows a simple skincare routine and spends a lot of time cleansing her face. “As soon as I get home and if I don’t need to be in front of the camera anymore, I just remove my makeup. I use a makeup remover, cleanse my face with my trusted facial wash, toner, and of course moisturizer.”
Sleep! Sleep! Sleep!
Yes, skincare is life, but sleep is more important, mga bes. For Pia, having a complete sleep is the key to a youthful glow. “Iba yung nagagawa ng kumpletong tulog. You can really tell if your skin is tired. If you pay attention to yourself, you will notice the little differences with your skin once you change your diet or sleeping pattern,” she explains.
Take care of yourself.
Saving money for good skincare products is fine, but if you’re not giving more time for yourself, balewala yan ‘teh. That’s why Pia maintains a healthy lifestyle and exercise regimen. “I can put the most expensive products on my face but if I don’t take care of myself, wala rin,” she says. O ’di ba, pak na pak.
Don’t hesitate to try anti-aging treatments.
At the age of 28, Pia has begun anti-aging treatments like Ultherapy. She’s proud to say that she didn’t have any hesitations in trying the procedure. “I didn’t have any hesitations in getting the treatment because I know that it’s safe and there’s no downtime. I can go back to work and put on makeup right away,” she shares.
Stay away from social media if needed.
Let’s be real, social media has become one of the main causes of our stress in life. Pia engages in other activities instead of spending the whole day staring at her phone. “Whenever I’m stressed, I put my phone down. People may not notice this but a lot of our stress comes from our phone. Take a minute and focus on other things. Talk to a friend that can make you laugh, eat something, spend time with your family, do something you like, get out of the house, or take the dog for a walk.”
