We started June with Pride Month, Father’s Day, and the walang katapusang ulan. But if you’re still looking for something to celebrate, the World Music Day AKA Fête de la Musique is here to rock your month. Here are everything you need to know about this year’s festival:
They are celebrating their 24th year in the Philippines.
Fête de la Musique is celebrated in 700 cities in 120 countries including the Philippines. And yes, bes, 24 years na sila sa Pinas! Started in 1994, Fête PH is a free music event known for simultaneous concerts in different venues for various musical genres. Its 24th edition is presented by Alliance Française de Manille in partnership with B-Side Productions and the Embassy of France to the Philippines.
A total of 39 stages to check out on June 23.
Aside from the two main stages at A Venue and Greenbelt 3, the highlight of the festival is the 37 pocket stages all over Makati that are segregated into different genres. We recommend that you check the map below and plan which stages you’re planning to go to. Hindi biro ang 39 stages in one day, bes. Stage hopping galore!
There are stages in Manila, Baguio, and Laguna.
If you’re too busy at work (yes, we feel you) or you’re in the province on June 23, worry no more, because the organizers are bringing Fête de la Musique to Manila, Baguio, and Laguna! There will be main stages at the Puerta Real Gardens in Intramuros and at Malcolm Square in Baguio on June 29. Laguna peeps can also enjoy two stages on June 30 at Da Pipols Food Park in Pagsanjan.
You can now download the Fête PH mobile app.
Let’s be real, going from one stage to another is kinda stressful. Medyo nakaka-haggard naman talaga maghanap ng venue ‘no. Luckily, the Fête PH app is here to help us explore. It has a tab with maps, addresses, and contact numbers of all the venues that you want to check out. The best part? By downloading the app, you can get a free beer that can be redeemed at your chosen stage.
