Waiting for our favorite brands to open a store in Manila is like waiting for the MRT, besmay forever. Luckily, some of them are already making their way to the Philippines. Here are eight brands that are finally here and will open soon in the metro:



Yup, you’re loyal to your good ol’ eyewear shop, but knowing Jins just opened its first store in the Philippines? Time to change your pair, bes! The brand is the biggest eyewear chain in Japan and known for its stylish specs. Their shops are also notable because of its artsy pop art installations. Jins eyewear are priced at P3,000 to P7,000.

Kam’s Roast

While the Manila counterpart to this Hongkong favorite is missing goose due to customs laws, the Michelin-starred restaurant offers roast duck in its stead. Aside from the Kam’s Roast Duck, we’re excited to try the Roast Pork and Suckling Pig! Putok batok is life!

Magnolia Bakery

One of the New York’s finest is coming over to spoil our sweet tooth. Magnolia Bakery (or M Bakery) is known for its classic American baked goods and has been featured movies and TV shows such as The Devil Wears Prada and Saturday Night Live. We’ve got our eye on their famous banana pudding. Kebs muna sa southbeach at keto!

There are no official announcements about the opening date or the exact location of the store, but according to its Facebook page, their first store in the Philippines will open in Taguig.
