The scorching summer heat is on! It’s the time of the year where we all love going to the beach, out of town trips, and doing different activities under the sun. However, the uncontrollable heat can also lead to skin pigmentation, wrinkles, and dry and frizzy hair.

During the launch of the Limited Edition Pantene UV Rescue Shampoo and 3 Minute Miracle conditioner, we got the chance to talk to Dennise Lazaro, Anna Cay, and Say Tioco, three of the #SummerStrong girls to know about their summer beauty routine.

DENNISE LAZARO

As a volleyball star, protecting her hair from the harsh UV rays is Dennise Lazaro’s main priority.

“Before, shampoo lang talaga yung ginagamit ko. Hindi ako nagco-conditioner. But because it’s summer, I need to protect my hair more—especially since I play beach volleyball,” the national team member says.

“I realize na I really need to use more products to avoid sticky and frizzy hair.”

As an athlete, moisturizer and sunblock are her ultimate best friends particularly when she trains for competitions.

“For me kasi, we really need to take care of our hair more than our skin. I’m not really into makeup,” she shares. “But when it comes to skincare, I make sure that I always moisturize and use sunblock every single day.”

ANNA CAY

For Anna Cay, using a sunblock or tinted sunscreen this summer season is a must.

“Do not forget sunblock. I also love tinted suncsreen kasi sun protection and foundation na siya in one. Tapos lip and cheek tint and then facial mist lang and you’re good to go,” the beauty vlogger says.

She admits that facial mist is her holy grail product to keep her face hydrated all day.

“I love spraying it kasi nagbibigay siya ng additional layer of moisture,” the makeup enthusiast explains. “Saka pwede mo siya ilagay over makeup anytime nafi-feel mo na kailangan ma-hydrate ng skin mo.”

SAY TIOCO

Known for her vibrant hair color, Say Tioco always use conditioner to prevent the dryness of her hair.

“I have colored hair so sobrang dry kapag nag-swimming ako sa pool or sa beach. Saka kapag nagfe-fade na siya to the bleach color, nagsa-start na ulit ako magkulay,” the influencer says. “Kaya I always use conditioner para softer and hindi na siya ganun ka-dry.”

When it comes to makeup, Say prefers tinted sunscreen than full coverage foundation to achieve a natural and glowing skin for the beach.

Wag ka na mag full foundation there. Better to use something like a tinted moisturizer,” she advises. “Then put some waterproof brow and mascara products. Finish your look with water tint for the cheek and lips.”
